ABOUT TURNER

Turner is a filmmaker, educator and writer working at the intersection of narrative, meaning and power.

His work explores how stories shape behaviour, particularly among young people, and how culture, masculinity, technology and institutions quietly produce beliefs about identity, control and belonging. He is drawn to moments where meaning fractures, pressure escalates, and ordinary situations become ethically charged.

Alongside his film and writing practice, Turner works closely with young people through long-term creative and educational projects. This work directly informs his research and storytelling, grounding theory in lived experience rather than abstraction.

Across film, books and live projects, Turner develops narrative systems that examine consent, authority, performance and belief as forces operating in everyday life.

Turner’s work sits across film, research and education, connecting theory with practice through sustained engagement with youth culture.
